We had a great turn out in Easton and I wanted to thank all of the photographer who participated in the photowalk. A special thanks to Scott Kelby the creator of the photowalk. I was a hot day but we had a lot of fun !!!
A thanks to Genesis Bicycles in Easton PA. They asked one of their Saturday morning rides to ride by a few times for a photo opportunity for our group.
I also wanted to thanks the Film Photography Podcast and the Pink Delicates. The Pink Delicates recorded the Sounds track for Splatter Beach and graciously allowed me to use one of their songs for the slide show below:

First, Thank you Ed for having me as your first guest blogger! I sincerely appreciate the opportunity.

Let me introduce myself, my name is Valerie (of course) and among a few other things I am a 100% self-taught budding on-location photographer specializing in natural light portraiture and events.

My photographic style could be described as creative, real-life, candid, and photojournalistic. My interests range from weddings and family portraits to still life and pin-up portraits and I strive to capture the most ordinary objects and the most dynamic personalities.

For every photo session I have two goals, the first is to tell my clients story and the second is to look at every object or person from more than one perspective. Every photo session is a challenge and despite the hours I spend with clients and photos a week I refuse to use the term ‘job’ or ‘career’ when speaking of my photography passion because I never want to lose sight of why I do what I do.

I’ve always considered myself creative but I first picked up a camera for client purposes in April of last year and in May I photographed my first wedding. The newlyweds were such an amazing couple to work with and the photo featured here shows just how fun they are. I love how natural, fun, and unique the photo is. I nearly burst into laughter everytime I look at it!

I am available for portraits, weddings, and events in the Greater Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas! Visit my webpage at www.valeriebetzphotography.com and ‘Like’ me at www.facebook.com/valeriebetzphotography

And as a final thought, I should have discovered my passion for photography much earlier because I had often remarked to friends and family, “sometimes I wish my eyes were a camera, so I could capture all of the beauty I see.”
